Ex Punjab CM Amarinder Singh Amarinder SinghIs Now A BJP Man
NEW DELHI: Congress chief Amarinder Singh met BJP president J P Nadda here on Monday ahead of joining the saffron party.

Amarinder Singh is all set to join the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) on September 19 in New Delhi.
Captain Amarinder Singh had once told News18.com: “I am a fauji, I never take off the front line. I battle back”. This was when he was expelled as Punjab chief minister and Charanjit Singh Channi succeeded him with Captain’s bête noir Navjot Singh Sidhu being made the state Congress chief.
After his assembly with Amit Shah on September 12, Mr. Singh said he held a really beneficial talk on subjects like “national security, rising cases of narco-terrorism in Punjab and the long run guide for the state’s, in general, all-encompassing development”.
There’s a plausibility that Captain may be in Rajya Sabha soon and the BJP would need to see him as the face which reminds the Congress of what all is off-base with them. Captain’s anger and sharpness are saved for Rahul Gandhi and as the last mentioned popularises his ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, Singh — with his backdrop as a ‘fauji’ and patriot — may fair be the voice to require on both the Gandhis and the AAP.
