NO spectaculars or wannabes are worth the time.” This quote from his book has always stuck with me and like I said I always use it as a filter before learning something from someone after extensive research and after visiting Tanishq Harjani’s website I came across his Fitness programs which he gives out for free surprisingly and I realized that this is a how I did it indeed and here’s proof

Now, this might not be ideal for some people but this is how he wanted to look when he first got started. This was his goal physique and he achieved what he set out to do Naturally so it’s safe to say that he knows what he is talking about and this is how I did it.

Bulky – Here he had some muscle mass but had a lot of fat to lose I would classify this second one as him being skinny fat since he did not have much muscle mass and you can see from how soft his arms were and at the time that he had a lot of fat to lose to get to his goal physique The point being that no matter what your starting position is he has been there and has gotten out of it more times than one whilst being a student with the immense workload I hope you are convinced that Tanishq Harjani is the right person to take advice from now and this is a How I did it rather than some wannabe giving out fake advice   So let’s go ahead and learn from him that why carbs are not what’s making you fat and what actually makes you fat I pulled this from his free program that I got from his website. If you have been going around reading about fitness you must have heard of calories or even just during your normal life you must have come around this term so let us learn what calories are ? When it comes to calories, they may be “small” or “large.” If the “c” in calories is uppercase, it indicates a large calorie, and if it’s lowercase, it indicates a small calorie.

However, the term small calorie is rarely used today outside of physics and chemistry research. So every food item you consume can be broken down into x amount of kcals since food is basically just energy for our body Now let us learn what fat is to understand why we get fat . All you need to know about fat is that fat is stored energy any amount of energy that your body does not need it stored it as fat so if you have an excess amount of fat then that means that you consumed more energy I.e more kcals than you needed and your body stored it as fat for later use and that is all. The reason you are fat or you get fat is because you eat more calories than your body needs so it stores it as fat for future use. Okay Tanishq but how do I know how many calories my body needs and how many calories are in a food item So lets start with the basic one of the two , the latter

 

So most packaged food items these day come with a nutrition label and if you so much as turn the package around you will see how many calories it has So now comes the important part how many calories/energy does my body really need to which I go over I will store fat So this x amount of calories is called maintenance calories and it varies from person to person.

For example, Tanishq Harjani weighs around 71 kgs so his maintenance calories might be different from you who weigh a little less or more. More things such as your height and body composition also come into play but your weight is the key factor the most famous way to calculate your maintenance calories is the Harris-Benedict equation but you don’t need to know that simply go to google and put in the calculator and out of the 1000 results pick one and you will be able to find your maintenance calories. So now that you know how many calories your body needs you can simply lose or gain weight by eating under this or over this and to track your calories you will of course need a calorie tracking app ,

Tanishq Harjani personally recommends myfitnesspal and has been using that himself for years but Healthifyme is also a good option especially if your diet consists of a lot of Indian meal . Now with this, I hope you might have understood that carbs are not making you fat the extra calories that you consume is getting stored as fat . Now let us speculate where this myth must have come from.

BEFORE GAINING

Let us assume Tanishq Harjani normally eats 2500 calories and that is how much he needs to maintain his body weight all of a sudden he takes advice from an uneducated trainer at his gym and he cuts out carbs from his late-night meals without changing anything so let us assume his late-night meals had 500 calories from carbs and all of a sudden he removes that and keeps everything the same now this would result in him eating in a deficit of 500 calories which would result in weight loss so without realizing what he did Tanishq Harjani is going to assume this happened because he stopped eating carbs at night and is going to recommend everyone to do the same and this is how bioscience originates and then spreads further and ends up contaminating the harmless newbies at the gym.
